Showing that a business aviation event it is not just about the bizjets, on static display the  recent Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE) held at Shanghai’s Hongqiao Airport were a number of propeller driven aircraft that are more in the general utility, and even sport, category.

Viking Air Twin Otter Series 400

Reignwood Air took delivery of China’s first Twin Otter Series 400 and the first of 50 they have on order from Canada’s Viking Air.

Chongqing-based Pilatus China, a Pilatus Joint Venture Company, showcased their STOL tail-wheel PC-6 Porter (above) and very popular single-engine pressurized PC-12NG (below)

Finally, we have the French Guimbal Cabri G2 light helicopter, one of six owned by X-Square Aviation and based at a heliport about 15 minutes flying time from Shanghai’s Hongqiao Airport, and the smallest airplane at the show, the home-grown OXAI M2 amhibious Light Sport Aircraft.
