It is an exciting time to be involved in the aviation business in China, and there is great need and opportunity for foreign enterprises with proven products and services in the China aviation and aerospace market. It is well-known that the Chinese airline industry is set to overtake the USA as the world’s largest. At the same time, the explosive growth potential in Chinese general aviation should not be overlooked.

In spite of the draw of the Chinese market, enterprises with little or no experience in China find it to be a perplexing, even daunting place to consider. The most common initial questions are:

1. We know there is great potential overall, but what is the precise status and outlook in our specific area of the market?

2. How do we even get started?

What’s needed is someone to “hold open the door” by answering such questions and helping to turn those answers into a plan of action.

In a recent blog, Blue Sky Innovations Group’s Ana Fontes wrote (emphases hers):

When expanding business across borders, it’s important to work with an International Aviation Consultant with in-country experience. A great consultant knows the secrets of communicating within a particular culture.

I agree wholeheartedly! But I would add one more thing – it’s important to work with an International Aviation Consultant who is actually based in the country of interest. Industries, regulations, business communications, marketing methods and so on are evolving at a rapid pace, especially in China. If you’re looking at China, the best-positioned consultant is one who actually lives and works in China, and knows the China aviation scene from the inside.

XL Aviation’s bilingual aviation consultants are embedded in the China aviation scene and are able to tap personal and professional contacts, news and articles, trade shows and forums, and many other sources, in both Chinese and English, to obtain the relevant market data and intel. We then process and analyze the information to produce crisp and readable reports which are tailored to the needs of our clients, complete with a recommended strategic plan for moving forward into the market.

If you have been looking for someone to help you with those first steps into China, look no further.
